Built-In Leak Detector

1 - Turn the gas on

Leave the appliance off, but turn the gas bottle on.

2 - Turn the cylinder off

The system is now full of gas, but there is no more gas flowing into it.

3 - Watch the gauge

If everything is okay, the gauge needle should not move.

If there is a leak

If gas is leaving the system because of a leak, the needle will slowly fall. You will need to find the leak by praying soapy water onto all gas connections and along the hose. The appearance of bubbles will indicate where the leak is.
